Vinton-Shellsburg High School Plant Sales is having their Annual Plant Sale at the school Greenhouse located near the back parking lot. Cedar-Mt. Auburn Fire Department Breakfast Saturday, 7-10 a.m.
The Cedar-Mt Auburn Fire Departments breakfast is happening tomorrow morning from 7 a.m.- 10 a.m. with a free-will donation at the door.The menu includes: Scrambled eggs, pancakes, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, sausage links, coffee, milk, Orange Juice. The event is taking place at the Mt. Auburn Legion Hall. Brandon United Methodist Church Pancake Breakfast & Bake Sale April 8, 7-10 a.m.
The Brandon United Methodist Church will hold its Pancake Breakfast & Bake Sale on Saturday, April 8, from 7-10 a.m.The church is located at 507 Main Street in Brandon.The church will be serving Eggs, Sausage, Pancakes, Ham, Juice and Coffee for a freewill donation.
Mark Harrison Cancer Foundation Pepper Tournament April 1
Save the Date! the Mark Harrison Cancer Foundation Pepper Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 beginning at 1:00 pm at the Wildcat Golf Course Club House in Shellsburg. The purpose of the Mark Harrison Cancer Foundation is to provide financial assistance to cancer
patients and families in their daily struggles throughout the cancer journey.

The Shellsburg American Legion Saturday morning breakfast is held from 8-10 a.m.On the menu every Saturday:

The Vinton-Shellsburg FFA will hold their annual Volunteer Auction. The event will take place on Monday, April 10 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. Money raised through this event will help students pay for state and national FFA conventions and conferences. Members of the local FFA volunteer 8 hours of service to the individual or business that offers the highest bid. Brandon Fire & EMS Grilled Pork Loin Supper April 15
The Brandon Fire & EMS will hold a Grilled Pork Loin Supper. On Saturday, April 15, 2023 the department will serve from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Brandon Community Center.The cost is a free will donation.Funds raised will go to support the local emergency services.
Shellsburg Lions to hold Bingo, April 15
The Shellsburg Lions will hold Bingo at the Legion on April 15, from 6 - 8 pm. The Legion will provide food. The Blackout is guaranteed to be $50. Come have some fun, win a bingo, and celebrate other activities. For questions call 319-389-2682.
